Israeli occupation forces detain 15 Palestinians in the West Bank

RAMALLAH, Monday, May 6, 2024 (WAFA) – At least 15 Palestinians were rounded up by the Israeli occupation forces across the occupied West Bank over the last few hours, including former prisoners, according to a joint statement by the Palestinian Prisoners Society and the Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Authority.

The statement reported that the detention campaigns were carried out in the governorates of Hebron, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Qalqilya, and Jericho.

According to the statement, Israeli occupation forces continue to conduct widespread detention campaigns involving raids, torture, brutal beatings, threats against detainees and their families, deliberate killings, and the destruction of civilian homes.

Since October 7th of last year, the total number of arrests has exceeded 8, 590, including those arrested from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those taken by Israeli authorities as hostages.
