JORDAN VALLEY, Friday, May 3, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today prevented Palestinian farmers from using water pumps to irrigate their crops in the Al-Dayr hamlet in the northern Jordan Valley, located northeast of the occupied West Bank.
Aref Draghmeh, a local human rights activist, reported that the occupation forces raided the hamlet and prohibited Palestinian farmers from utilizing the water pumps placed beside water springs in the area to irrigate their crops.
He added that there are calls among Israeli colonists for "tourist days" at the same springs.
Draghmeh pointed out that colonists have seized ten springs in the past two years and converted them into recreational areas, although Palestinians had been using them to irrigate their crops.
