Presidency: Without American support, Netanyahu wouldn't dare to defy international legitimacy

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 (WAFA) - Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesman for President Mahmoud Abbas, said today that without U.S. support, Netanyahu wouldn't dare to defy international legitimacy and law by persisting in committing further genocide against the Palestinian people.

Abu Rudieneh's statement came in response to recent remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that the war is ongoing and an invasion of Rafah is imminent,

Abu Rudeineh emphasized that "the blind American bias towards Israel, shielding it from accountability and international legitimacy, proves that the U.S. administration has become a partner in Netanyahu's crimes, which have claimed the lives of thousands of our people."

He asserted that "the U.S. administration bears full responsibility for the continuation of these genocidal crimes."

Abu Rudeineh called on the U.S. administration to compel the Israeli occupation authorities to halt the aggression and to prevent the Israeli occupation from invading Rafah, a move that "would have extremely serious consequences for the entire region and the world."

The Presidential Spokesperson also urged the international community to intervene urgently to prevent Israel from continuing its aggression and to hold it accountable for its violations of all international resolutions.
