Hundreds rally in Buenos Aires in solidarity with Palestine

BUENOS AIRES, Saturday, April 20, 2024 (WAFA) – Hundreds of protesters rallied today in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, in solidarity with the Palestinian people, condemning the Israeli aggression and the genocide perpetrated by Israeli forces in Gaza and elsewhere across Palestine.

Protesters demanded an immediate halt to the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people and an immediate ceasefire to save lives from the brutality of the occupation. They raised Palestinian and Argentine flags alongside banners supporting the Palestinian people's right to freedom and independence, while others denounced the aggression and genocide, calling for the severance of political and trade relations with Israel.

The protesters called for ending all ties particularly with the Israeli water distribution company Mekorot, which has signed cooperation agreements with several Argentine provinces.

The march featured speeches, poetry, and theatrical performances depicting the brutality of the aggression and genocide, calling for an end to the aggression and the accountability of the Israeli occupation officials for committing crimes against humanity.
