Israeli colonists establish new outpost in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, Sunday, March 10, 2024 (WAFA) – This morning, Israeli colonists initiated the establishment of a colonial outpost in Ein Al Sakout area in the northern Jordan Valley, located northeast of the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Mu'taz Bsharat, a settlement affairs official in the Tubas Governorate, reported that a group of Israeli colonists began setting up a colonial outpost with a tourist-oriented character south of Ein Al-Sakut in the northern Jordan Valley.

Ein Al-Sakut is known for its picturesque and beautiful natural landscape in the Northern Jordan Valley, characterized by rich agricultural life, fertile lands, and the presence of numerous water pumps.

Situated along the Jordan River, Ein Al-Sakout is a Palestinian village with expansive open plains, boasting some of the most fertile agricultural lands in the West Bank. It is surrounded by several colonial Israeli moshav's covering an estimated ten thousand dunums.

In recent months, Israeli colonists seized portions of agricultural land belonging to Palestinians in the region.
