RAFAH, Thursday, January 11, 2024 (WAFA) – At least nine civilians were killed and several others were injured tonight in an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential home in the Shawka neighborhood, east of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams transported nine casualties following the Israeli assault on the Abu Seneima family home in the neighborhood. The Israeli raid reduced the house to rubble upon the heads of its civilian occupants.
Over 23,500 Palestinians, the overwhelming majority of whom are innocent civilians, have been confirmed killed since the beginning of the Israeli genocide campaign on the enclave on October 7. Over 56,000 others have been injured, while nearly 8,000 people remain unaccounted for.
