HEBRON, Sunday, October 29, 2023 (WAFA) – Colonial Israeli settlers attacked the homes of local Palestinian residents today and stole sheep in the village of At-Tuba in the Masafer Yatta region, to the south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Ratib Jubour, a local Palestinian activist, told WAFA that a group of Israeli settlers, guarded by the Israeli occupation army, assaulted the homes of citizens in the village and stole six sheep along with agricultural equipment belonging to a local Palestinian citizen, Issa Makhamra.
Jubour also reported that some settlers had infiltrated the Wadi Ijheish hamlet in Masafer Yatta, where they physically assaulted a local Palestinian villager, Ibrahim al-Nawaj'a, and left him with injuries. He was subsequently transported to hospital for medical treatment.
In a separate incident today, colonial Israeli settlers attacked the properties of local residents in the village of Qaryut, south of Nablus.
Bashar Qaryouti, an activist against settlements, informed WAFA that settlers from the Eli settlement infiltrated the western outskirts of the village, where they engaged in acts of vandalism by damaging and dismantling agricultural fences, breaking water tanks, and uprooting trees in a plot of land that belonged to him.
It is worth noting that these daily and systematic assaults on Palestinian citizens and their property in rural areas of the West Bank aim to forcibly displace them from their lands as part of the ongoing Israeli settlement expansion plan.
