HEBRON, Thursday, October 19, 2023 (WAFA) – A group of armed Israeli settlers wearing attire resembling that of Israeli occupation army stormed a mosque this evening in the village of Menizel, to the east of Yatta town in the southern West Bank governorate of Hebron, according to local sources.
The sources told WAFA that a group of armed Israeli settlers disguised in Israeli military uniforms broke into the Menizel village mosque. These individuals desecrated the sacred place of worship by vandalizing the mosque's sound systems, breaking loudspeakers, and shattering one of its windows, said the sources. Shockingly, they voiced their aversion to hearing the call to prayer, asserting that it disturbed them.
The mosque's imam confronted the settler vandals, according to the sources, preventing them from further acts of desecration and sabotage.
Meantime, Israeli occupation forces raided the nearby village of Al-Tuwana in the Masafer Yatta region and raided and searched the home of a local resident, Moussa Rabai.
