HEBRON, Saturday, October 7, 2023 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces today assaulted Palestinian and solidarity activists in the southern West Bank Hebron district, causing injuries, according to various sources.
Soldiers assaulted protesters in the center of Hebron, shooting live and rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas canisters at them, injuring seven people, one of them said to be critical with an injury to the neck, and causing many to suffer suffocation.
In Masafer Yatta to the south of Hebron, soldiers attacked protesters that included solidarity activists in the village of Twani after confronting settlers who attacked the homes of the Palestinians, according to the head of the Twani village council Mohammad Ribee.
He said the soldiers protected the settlers who came from the illegal colony of Havat Maon to attack the homes of Twani residents before they were confronted by the local people and activists.
The colonialists, he added, spread along the road from the village to the colony and nearby colonies.
