HEBRON, Sunday, August 20, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers today destroyed agricultural crops as they let their livestock graze on fields belonging to Palestinian farmers in Masafer Yatta area, to the south of Hebron, said local activist Fuad al-Amour.
The activist told WAFA that a group of armed Israeli settlers, protected by occupation army, raided fields belonging to Palestinian farmers and released their livestock, causing severe damage to agricultural crops and to a fence owned by two citizens identified as Shehadeh Makhamreh and Farid Hamamdeh.
The settlers also threw nails on the main roads used by Palestinian civilians, causing traffic jam and forcing the latter to take alternate routes to reach their destination.
The latest attack is yet another example of the ongoing suffering faced by Palestinians living under Israeli settler occupation in the West Bank. The incident comes in the wake of a series of similar attacks by settlers on Palestinian property and individuals.
