HEBRON, Wednesday, August 2, 2023 (WAFA) – An Israeli settler burned 20 beehives owned by a Palestinian farmer, a resident of the village of Zanuta, south of the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
Yousef al-Sharha, the owner of the beehives, told WAFA that the settler, who set up a caravan and established a settlement outpost next to his apiary, burnt and totally destroyed 20 beehives out of 50 he owns as the honey harvest season began, which caused him a loss of more than $10,000.
Settlers, protected by soldiers, have been given the green light from their far-right Israeli government and its racist and fascist settler ministers to set up outposts near Palestinians and to harass them in order to push them out of their lands and eventually take them over. Settlers’ vandalism often goes unpunished.
