NABLUS, Thursday, June 1, 2023 (WAFA) – Extremist Israeli settlers set large swathes of land on fire today and destroyed tombstones in two separate incidents in the northern occupied West Bank province of Nablus, according to local sources.
Fo’ad Hasan, a local Palestinian activist, told WAFA that a group of Israeli settlers from the illegal settlement of Yesh Kodish set large swathes of land on fire on the outskirts of the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, in yet a new attack on local residents’ properties.
Meantime, extremist Israeli settlers destroyed a number of tombstones after storming a graveyard in the town of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, said Ghassan Daghlas, a local Palestinian activist.
Of note, Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their public and private properties are commonplace, and are rarely prosecuted by the occupation authorities.
