Palestinian sustain injury from settler attack south of Nablus

NABLUS, Friday, February 17, 2023 (WAFA) – A Palestinian today sustained an injury from a settler attack close to Burin village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to a medical source.

Director of the Palestinian Red Crescent's (PRC) Emergency Department in Nablus, Ahmad Jibril, said that PRC paramedics evacuated a young man to a hospital for treatment, suffering from bruises after being attacked by Israeli settlers.

He added that the assailants attacked the young man following a traffic accident close to the entrance of the colonial settlement of Yitzhar, particularly notorious for its hardcore Jewish settler community.

Settlers’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

There are over 800,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
