SALFIT, Saturday, February 11, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers today uprooted a number of olive saplings for a Palestinian farmer near the town of Kafr al-Dik, in the occupied West Bank province of Salfit, according to local sources.
Nael Ahmad Ali, a local Palestinian resident, told WAFA that a group of Israeli settlers sneaked into his farm on the outskirts of the town, uprooted olive saplings he had planted in his land over the past seven years, and vandalized an agricultural room he built in his farm.
In addition, said Ali, the settlers planted forest and other trees near his farm in order to eventually take over the whole area for colonial settlement purposes.
Acts of violence and vandalism by Israeli settlers against Palestinians and their property are routine in the West Bank and are almost never prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities.
There are over 650,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law and consensus.
