NABLUS, Thursday, February 2, 2023 (WAFA) – Palestine and News Information Agency (WAFA) photojournalist Ayman Nobani has been shot by Israeli gunfire while he was covering confrontations between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces in the village of Duma.

Following Israel’s demolition of two houses in the said village, confrontations broke out between Palestinians and Israeli forces, during which dozens suffered from suffocation due to inhaling tear gas bombs fired at them by the soldiers.

Nobani said that the soldiers targeted him directly with rubber-coated steel bullets in his thigh while he was covering the Israeli demolition of two houses in Duma.

He said he was wearing the press vest.

Nobani was given first aid before he was taken to the Rafidia hospital in Nablus.

Earlier today,  Israeli forces Thursday demolished two Palestinian-owned houses in the village of Duma, south of the northern occupied West Bank city of Nablus, sources confirmed.

Suleiman Dawabsheh, head of the Duma village council, told WAFA that a large unit of Israeli forces, accompanied by military bulldozer, raided the eastern part of the village, and demolished two houses belonging to local residents Mohammad Ali and Khaled Muleihat under the pretext that they were built in Area C.
