Israeli settlers set up new colonial outpost southeast of Nablus

NABLUS, Friday, January 20, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers dawn Friday set up a new colonial outpost on the lands of Jurish village, southeast of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to a local activist.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors colonial settlement activities in the northern West Bank, said that a group of settlers barged their way into the lands of the village and erected a number of mobile homes to serve as the nucleus of a new colonial outpost.

The outpost was set up in memory of Haim Drukman, one of the founders of the Gush Emumim settler movement, which has been integral to Israeli colonization of many parts of the occupied West Bank.

There are over 800,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
