RAMALLAH, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 (WAFA) – The Israeli settlers’ arson in two northern West Bank towns was highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.
Al-Quds, al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida dailies said that settlers set fire to three cars in the towns of Burin and Orif, near Nablus, and attacked homes, while residents confronted soldiers who broke into the village of Husan, near Bethlehem, where an elderly man was injured, and Jalazon refugee camp, near Ramallah.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said the occupation forces demolished a car repair shop and the roof of a house in the West Bank.
The weather and the heavy rain that caused flooding and damage in many areas in Palestine and neighboring countries were also highlighted on the front page of the three dailies, with al-Quds saying that many areas in Gaza were covered with water.
Al-Ayyam said Israel is going to vote on the new government on Thursday as opposition to the government is on the rise in Israel, with al-Quds saying that the Palestinians in Israel are worried about the impact of the right-wing government on their life in the Naqab and the Galilee areas.
Al-Quds also said a new Covid variant called “Doomsday” has infected 250 million people in China.
Al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida said the “snowstorm of the century” has left 50 people dead in the United States, while a snowstorm in Japan killed 17 people and floods killed 11 in the Philippines.
