NABLUS, Monday, October 31, 2022 (WAFA) – A Palestinian was Monday shocked to learn that his land was seized and turned into a park by an Israeli settler, sources confirmed.
Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the northern West Bank, said farmer Mahmoud Mu'ammar, from the village of Qaryout, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, arrived earlier today to his land in order to pick his olives only to find out that a settler from the illegal Israeli settlement of Eli stole the land, seized it, uprooted the trees in it and turned it into a park for his own personal use.
He added that the settler dugged water pools in the land as well.
Daghlas noted that many Palestinian-owned lands are located behind Israel's apartehid wall, and thus its Palestinian owners can't access them without prior cooderation with the Israeli authorities.
