NABLUS, Thursday, October 13, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers today attacked Palestinian olive pickers in the village of Azmut to the east of Nablus, according to a local official.

Ghassan Daghlas, in charge of the settlement file in the northern West Bank, told WAFA that settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Elon Moreh attacked Palestinians while they were harvesting olives in the village of Azmut. No injuries were reported.

Settlers regularly attack Palestinian farmers during the annual olive harvest season and either steal their crops or prevent them from reaching their lands, in addition to destroying or cutting down olive trees.

The olive harvest season is considered the most important for thousands of Palestinian families in the Israeli-occupied territories due to its contribution to the families’ income bracket.
