Israeli forces detain six Palestinians from West Bank

RAMALLAH, Friday, September 2, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Friday overnight and Thursday night detained six Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank, according to local and security sources.

They said that Israeli troops rounded up two brothers after breaking into and ransacking the house of one of them in al-Yamun town, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

Still in Jenin district, the gun-toting soldiers detained another from Zababdeh town, northeast of the city, and ransacked his house, turning it upside down.

In Nablus district, the soldiers manning the intermittently-staffed Za'tara checkpoint stopped and detained another on his way to Ramallah.

The detainee was identified as a resident of al-Far'a refugee camp, south of Jenin.

In Jerusalem, heavily-armed police rounded up a girl from Shufat refugee camp.

In Ramallah district, the sources confirmed a raid in Silwad town, east of the city, resulting in the detention of another.
