RAMALLAH, Tuesday, March 22, 2022 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is partly cloudy to cloudy and cold to very cold with a drop in temperature to become 7°C below the seasonal average and a chance of scattered rain over the northern areas, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are northwesterly, moderate while occasionally active, and sea waves are medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 10°C and a low of 4°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 9°C and a low of 3°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 9°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 7°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A low-pressure front is expected to affect the country tomorrow, Wednesday, further bringing down the temperature to approach 9°C below the seasonal average. Rainfall is expected over most areas of the country accompanied by occasional thunderstorms and hail.

The low-pressure is expected to continue to affect the country on Thursday as temperature drops again approaching 10°C below the seasonal average. Rain, thunderstorms, and hail are expected over most areas of the country.

A slight rise in temperature is expected on Friday, which nevertheless remains 8°C below the seasonal average. Rain, thunderstorms, and hail are expected over most areas of the country during the day, which subsides at night, said the PMD, warning people against floods in low areas and valleys, slippery roads, high winds, and low horizontal visibility.
