HEBRON, Tuesday, January 18, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers today evening uprooted and stole dozens of olive saplings in the Masafer Yatta area to the south of Hebron, according to a local activist.
Coordinator of the Protection and Steadfastness Committees in Masafer Yatta, Fouad al-Amour, said a group of settlers cut the fence surrounding a 2-dunum plot of land and stole around 30 olive saplings.
Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is commonplace in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. It includes arsons of property and mosques, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
