Israeli settlers kill three sheep for a Palestinian shepherd near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, Sunday, January 09, 2022 (WAFA) – A group of Israeli settlers today killed three sheep and injured another three belonging to a Palestinian from the village of Al-Mughayir in the occupied West Bank province of Ramallah, according to witnesses.

Dadl Abu-Alia told WAFA that he was grazing his herd of sheep near the village when a group of settlers broke into the area and rammed their vehicle into the herd, killing three of his sheep and injuring another three.

He said this was the second attack by Israeli settlers targeting his sheep. A few months ago, said Abu-Alia, a group of Israeli settlers poisoned 15 sheep belonging to him and stole another 25.

Earlier today, the so-called Israeli Civil Administration handed another Palestinian resident of the village, Saleh Abu-Alia, a notification informing him about their intention to demolish agricultural structures belonging to him on the outskirts of the village, under the pretext that they are built without Israeli permission.

Violence and vandalism by Israeli settlers are commonplace across the occupied West Bank, and are rarely prosecuted by the Israeli occupation authorities.
