RAMALLAH, Monday, October 18, 2021 (WAFA) – A decline was recorded today in the number of deaths from coronavirus and new cases in the last 24 hours in Palestine.

Health Ministry data showed five deaths in Palestine and 709 new cases in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours.

Three of the deaths were in the West Bank, which recorded 188 new cases, and 190 patients recovering, while two deaths, 521 new cases, and 200 recoveries were recorded in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, 124 corona patients remain hospitalized and 59 are intensive care, while 11 are on ventilators, said the Health Ministry.

Almost 2.4 million people have been vaccinated against coronavirus in Palestine with half of them getting a second dose, while over 9000 have received the booster shot.
