HEBRON, Wednesday, September 15, 2021 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces and settlers today attacked Palestinian homes in the occupied section of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, according to local sources
Aref Jaber, an activist against settlements, told WAFA that settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba attacked with stones and empty bottles houses of Palestinian residents in Jaber neighborhood, east of Hebron, and when the residents confronted the settlers, Israeli forces in the area fired live bullets and sound bombs at them causing panic, especially among children.
At the same time, added Jaber, soldiers harassed Palestinians in Shuhada Street and obstructed their arrival at their homes. One resident, identified as Mufeed Sharabati, was prevented at a military checkpoint set up in the street from reaching his house and his 19-year-old son was detained for few hours and assaulted.
WAFA correspondent said that Sharabati refused to leave the checkpoint for five hours insisting to be allowed to reach his home.
Meanwhile, the forces raided and ransacked a number of houses in Hebron and stole 50,000 Israeli shekels ($15,500) from one of them.
