Israeli settlers drop metal gate on a vehicle driven by a Palestinian, while others set up a tent on Palestinian land

SALFIT/NABLUS, Monday, April 12, 2021 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers last night caused damage to a Palestinian-owned car near the occupied West Bank city of Salfit when they dropped a metal gate on a vehicle as it drove nearby, while others set up a tent on Palestinian land in Qusra village, near Nablus, in order to start an illegal settlement outpost, according to local sources.

Saeed Zeidan, head of Deir Istiya town council, northwest of Salfit, said that the car incident occurred near Burqin village, west of Salfit, when settlers tied a robe to the metal gate the army had set up at the entrance of Burqin and then pulled the gate down when a car driven by a Deir Istiya resident approached it falling on the car and damaging it. The driver was not hurt, said the town’s mayor.

In Qusra village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, settlers from the illegal settlement of Yesh Kodesh, set up a tent early this morning on land southeast of the village.

The tent is often a first step by the settlers to eventually expand it and become a settlement outpost.
