RAMALLAH, Saturday, March 27, 2021 (WAFA) – Health Minister Mai Alkaila said today that Palestine is expecting to receive 125,000 new doses of the coronavirus vaccines in the coming days.
She said in a statement that 100,000 of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine, donation of the Chinese government, and another 25,000 doses of the British AstraZeneca vaccine, the first batch of the vaccine purchased by the government from the manufacturers, will arrive in Palestine in few days.
Alkaila said the Palestinian government has allocated $12 million from its budget to buy the coronavirus vaccines.
Agreements were reached with some companies to transfer money to them in order to reserve and ship the vaccine to allow the corona vaccination rollout started last week to continue uninterrupted.
