RAMALLAH, Friday, January 29, 2021 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said today that one death from coronavirus and 500 new infections were registered among Palestinians living abroad during the last 24 hours.
It said Dr. Khalil Nazzal, top representative of ruling Fatah Movement to Poland and a medical practitioner, died from complications resulting from the novel virus.
In the United States, the ministry said 500 new infections were reported for Palestinian expatriates in Chicago, bringing the total cases registered among the Palestinian community in the US so far to 7812.
Overall, a total of 362 Palestinians in the diaspora have died of the virus, while 10,810 infections have been reported since the outbreak of the pandemic in early 2020.
