President Abbas receives congratulatory letters on the 32nd anniversary of Palestinian Declaration of Independence Day

RAMALLAH, Sunday, November 15, 2020 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas received today congratulatory letters from Jordanian King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein, as well as from his Egyptian and Cuban counterparts on the 32nd anniversary of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence Day which falls on November 15.

In his telegram, the Jordanian king reaffirmed Jordan's commitment to continue working with the Palestinian people towards the establishment of the independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution and in accordance with international law, relevant UN resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative in order to achieve a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the region, according to Petra news agency.

He stressed support for all cooperation and coordination efforts between Jordan and Palestine, and keenness to bolster the deep-rooted brotherly ties in order to serve the shared interests of the two peoples, wishing President Abbas good health and happiness, and for the Palestinian people to achieve their demands and aspirations for their just and legitimate rights.

President of Egypt expressed in a telegram his deep appreciation for the brotherly relations that unite the two brotherly countries and peoples, stressing his constant aspiration to strengthen these relations and promote them in a way that achieves mutual interests.

He stressed Egypt’s full support to the Palestinian cause and its solidarity and stand by the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights, the establishment of their independent state of Palestine, and the achievement of a just and comprehensive peace.

He Wished president Abbas good health and happiness and more progress, development, and stability for the Palestinian people.

The Cuban president cabled President Abbas congratulating him on the 32nd anniversary of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence Day and offering his sincere condolences over the death of longtime Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat, who passed away on November 10th after contracting Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi, expressed in a tweet warm wishes to the people of Palestine on their Declaration of Independence Day.
