JERICHO, Wednesday, November 11, 2020 (WAFA)- Hundreds of people, including officials, attended the funeral of Palestine Liberation Organization official Saeb Erekat in his Jericho hometown today.

Erekat, secretary-general of the PLO’s Executive Committee, died yesterday after contracting coronavirus last month.

Family members, officials, and the general public waited at Erekat’s home in Jericho until his coffer arrived from Ramallah, where President Mahmoud Abbas, Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, as well as PLO and government officials bid him farewell.

Erekat was then buried in an official ceremony at Jericho cemetery.
