TULKAREM, May 29, 2012 (WAFA) – Large areas of land Tuesday caught fire west of Al Ras, a village south of Tulkarem and adjacent to the Apartheid Wall from the western side, according to local sources.
They said the fire burned Palestinian land located near the illegal Israeli settlement of Salit and which can only be accessed by the Israeli authorities and settlers since it is a closed military zone.
The Palestinian civil defense crews rushed to the scene, declared a state of emergency and put out the fire whose flames reached almost seven meters high and engulfed large areas of land.
