JENIN, March 6, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli authorities Sunday handed notices to Palestinians in Jenin area extending the period of decisions which concerns land seizure to 2013.
Naser Adam, head of Marj Bin Amer municipality told WAFA that Israel handed these notices under security pretexts.
Adam said that the Israeli authorities gave land owners one week to appeal to court, starting from the date of receiving the notices.
Notices included seizure orders of 4.60 dunums ( 1 dunum= 1000 meters square ) in village of Jallboun, 148 dunums in different blocs of Faqua village ,185,4 dunums in different blocs of Arbuna village and 9.32 dunums from lands of Jalameh town, all located in Jenin area.
Land owners called on specialized bodies and human rights organizations to intervene and stop such policies and measures.
Israeli authorities previously had handed land owners notices on land seizure in 2007.
