Israeli Forces Shoot Palestinian Gravel Collector in Gaza

 

GAZA, February 8, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers Monday evening shot a Palestinian man in the leg in Shajaiyah area of northern Gaza as he was collecting gravel, said medical sources.

 

The number of gravel collectors injured by Israeli soldiers based around the Gaza borders continues to rise and has almost reached 200 since a year ago as Israel does not allow Palestinians to come close to the border area.

 

Palestinians, however, continue to take risks as they work to earn a living from collecting gravel.
