IOF Arrests 22 Civilians in WB
TULKAREM, May 12, 2004, (IOF)- At least 22 Palestinian citizens, were arrested Wednesday by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in separate attacks in the West Bank, Palestinian security sources and witnesses said.... They said that four students were arrested Wednesday morning in the village of 'Anabta, east of Tulkarem, while sixteen others were arrested Tuesday overnight in the village of 'Azoun, near Qalqilya.... Witnesses from 'Anabta told WAFA that Israeli troops swept, early on Wednesday, into the village and searched tens of houses and arrested four students.... In the meantime, two brothers were arrested by IOF in the village of al-Walaja, near Bethlehem.... Witnesses told WAFA reporter that Israeli soldiers broke into the house of 'Adnan al-Atrash and arrested his two sons Samed, 22, and Hussein, 24-year-old.... Neighbours of al-Atrash family added that Israeli troops incurred into the neighbourhood of Jwaizeh of al-Walaja and arrested two brothers and led them to an undisclosed place.... Earlier, on Tuesday overnight, tens of Israeli armoured vehicles swept into the village of 'Azoun, near Qalqilya and arrested 16 citizens.... "Jeeps and armoured vehicles rolled into the village and stormed several stores. They broke into a café and a billiard club and arrested tens of youth," witness Jaber Mjalli, said....
