RAFAH, May 11, 2004, (WAFA)- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) destroyed Tuesday three Palestinian houses in two separate attacks in the Gaza Strip, witnesses and Palestinian security sources said.... Witnesses said that Israeli bulldozers, backed by tanks, swept into the neighbourhood of Zo'rob, east of Rafah and destroyed two houses.... The three-story Zo'rob house and the two-story Breika's were reduced into rubble in minutes. At least 30 citizens were forced to join thousands of homeless Palestinian whose houses have been destroyed in the same way, witnesses said.... The Israeli soldiers used loudspeakers ordering civilians to leave their houses. They prevented them from evacuating their property, witness, Salem Breika told WAFA.... Palestinian security sources said three tanks and two bulldozers rolled early Tuesday into Zo'rob neighbourhood and destroyed the two houses amid intensive fire.... Earlier in the village of al-Qarara, south of Gaza, the IOF destroyed one house owned by Palestinian citizen Hatem Abu Haddaf, security sources said.... In the meantime, IOF cut the Gaza Strip into two parts after blocking the coastal road and the main Israeli checkpoint of Abu Houly, south of Gaza, witnesses and security sources said.... Drivers told WAFA reporter that hundreds of cars and pedestrians were detained at the checkpoint as Israeli troops prevented them from access.... Security sources said that Abu Houly checkpoint, located on Salah al-Deen main street, linking the southern and northern parts of Gaza, was completely blocked by Israeli soldiers....
