HEBRON, Friday, June 12, 2020 (WAFA) – Illegal Israeli settlers today attacked homes of Palestinians after raiding the village of Susya, near the town of Yatta in Hebron governorate, south of the occupied West Bank, said a local source.
Rateb Jabour, an official who monitors Israeli settlement activities in the area, told WAFA that Jewish settlers from a nearby illegal settlement, escorted by an army force, broke into the village and attacked several homes, but were thwarted by local civilians.
Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Settlers‘ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
