BETHLEHEM, Saturday, December 14, 2019 (WAFA) – Hardcore Jewish settlers on Saturday evening attacked with stones Palestinian vehicles driving near the village of al-Jaba’a, near Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Diab Mashaaleh, head of al-Jaba’a village council, told WAFA that Jewish settlers from the illegal settlement of Bat Ayin, nearby, attacked vehicles while passing near the village, causing partial damages to at least one of them.
Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is commonplace in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. Common types of attacks include arsons of property and mosques, stone-throwing at vehicles and civilians, uprooting of crops and trees, among others.
Between 500,000 and 600,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
