Newspapers Review: Israeli airstrike killed 8 members of a Palestinian family

RAMALLAH, Friday, November 15, 2019 (WAFA) – The Israeli airstrike that killed eight members of the same family in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip yesterday morning dominated the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.

The three papers dedicated more than half of their front page to this horrific attack that caused the death of five children and two women in the Abu Malhous al-Sawarke family. They also printed pictures of the Israeli onslaught on Gaza and with black background.

They also said that the final toll showed three days of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza left 34 people dead, including children, women and six students, and over 110 wounded, in addition to the destruction of buildings, including schools.

Al-Ayyam also said dozens were injured in West Bank clashes between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers, particularly in Bethlehem and Tulkarm and that settlers have continued their attacks against Palestinian farmers harvesting their olive crops and in their villages, such as in Qarawat Bani Hassan and Umm al-Rihan.

It reported on the visit of Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh to Sweden and his meetings there. Al-Hayat al-Jadida and al-Quds also reported on this.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida said President Mahmoud Abbas met with the Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, and discussed the situation in Jerusalem.
