SALFIT, Thursday, November 14, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers Thursday morning slashed the tires of some 20 Palestinian vehicles and spray-painted hate graffiti in the village of Qarawat Bani Hasan, to the north of the occupied West Bank city of Salfit, according to local sources.
Mayor of Qarawat Bani Hasan Tamer Rayan told WAFA that the settlers sneaked their way into the village, slashed the tires of 20 parked vehicles and spray-painted hate graffiti and slogans on vehicles and the external walls of several houses.
Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is commonplace in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
It includes arsons of property and mosques, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Over 600,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
