Israeli settlers attack civilian homes in north of West Bank

SALFIT, Monday, October 28, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers today attacked Palestinian homes with rocks in the village of Kifl Haris, to the north of the occupied northern West Bank city of Salfit, according to local sources.

They said that dozens of extremist settlers sneaked into the village and threw rocks at the homes causing panic in the village. Israeli soldiers in the area did not intervene. Rather they closed off the main and side roads to the village to prevent movement of its residents.

Extremist Israeli settlers’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Settlers‘ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
