RAMALLAH, Sunday, October 20, 2019 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies focused in their Sunday issue on the increased attacks by Jewish settlers across the occupied West Bank, against vulnerable Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest season.
They said three farmers sustained various injuries yesterday when settlers attacked them while they were harvesting olive crops in the village of Burin, south of Nablus in the West Bank.
They also said that settlers attacked Palestinian farmers and international volunteers while harvesting their olive crops in the village of al-Jaba’a, to the south of Bethlehem.
The three dailies said thousands of Lebanese continued to demonstrate across Lebanon for the third day in protest of government corruption and the deteriorated economic conditions, calling for the overthrow of the government.
Al-Hayat al-Jadida said Israeli far-right Temple Mount organizations called upon Jews to perform provocative tours to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound this Sunday.
Al-Ayyam said three Palestinian citizens of Israel were injured yesterday in separate violent incidents, marking the latest in a recent rise in violence blamed mainly on Israeli police inaction towards proliferation of illegal weapons in the Arab communities.
Al-Quds said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned of an Arab Joint List-led government coalition in Israel.
Al-Ayyam said Netanyahu warned that a future government coalition that includes members of the Arab Joint List is a threat to the national security of Israel.
