UPDATE 2: Israeli forces shoot, injure 10 Palestinians, paramedic injured at Gaza-Israeli border

GAZA, Friday, March 29, 2019 (WAFA) – At least ten Palestinians were shot and injured with live ammunition, including one seriously, and dozens others suffocated as Israeli forces attacked the peaceful ‘Great March of Return’ protests at Gaza-Israel borders, said sources.

Israeli forces opened live fire and tear gas canisters toward Palestinians who gathered near the barbed-wire fence between Gaza and Israel to the east and north of the Strip to take part in the ‘Great March of Return’ protests, shooting and injuring at least ten people, including one critically.

A Palestinian was reportedly critically injured after being shot with a live bullet fired by Israeli forces as the latter attacked a protest to the east Jabalia city east of Gaza city. Four others sustained injuries and were all transferred to the Indonesian hospital in the north of the Gaza Strip for medical treatment.

Dozens others suffered from suffocation due to tear gas inhalation.

Meanwhile, a minor was lightly injured after being struck with live bullet shrapnel fired by Israeli forces toward a similar protest along the borderline area to the east of al-Bureij refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip. The minor was treated at the scene.

Forces further attacked paramedics at the scene with tear gas canisters, causing damages to an ambulance and smashing its windshield. A paramedic was struck in the foot with a tear gas canister fired directly at him.
