JERUSALEM, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 (WAFA) – Bulldozers of the Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem Tuesday demolished a Palestinian-owned house in the neighborhood of Jabal al-Mukkaber, southeast of the occupied city of Jerusalem, under the pretext of lacking a building permit, according to witnesses.

Israeli police cordoned off the area before the bulldozers proceeded to demolish the house owned by Moath Aqil, which was in its last stage of construction.

Palestinians say they are forced to build without a permit because getting a building permit is virtually impossible as the right-wing mayor attempts to keep the city’s Palestinian population at a bare minimum while multiplying the number of Jewish settlers by approving the construction of thousands of new housing units in Jewish-only settlements.
