JERUSALEM, Wednesday, May 08, 2019 (WAFA) – Israeli police detained Palestinian youths today in the Old City of Jerusalem following a brawl with Israeli settlers who apparently according to eyewitnesses have provoked the Palestinians and caused the scuffle.

Witnesses told WAFA that the scuffle started after the settlers who recently took over a building in the Muslim quarter in the Old City acted like thugs in the Palestinian neighborhood as they harassed and shouted racist slogans against the Palestinian residents.

Israeli police intervened to break the fight, arrested the young Palestinians and took them to the Jaffa Gate police station.
