RAMALLAH, April 14, 2018 (WAFA) - PLO Executive Committee Member Hanan Ashrawi called for immediate intervention from members of the international community to ensure protection for the Palestinian people and the serious and effective accountability for Israel.

Ashrawi visited Boston College on April 11 and 12 to participate in a series of events.

The PLO official gave the first lecture in the Omar Aggad Distinguished Memorial Lecture Series as a tribute to the late Omar Aggad. 

Entitled, "Power Politics and the Travesty of Peace," the lecture focused on the major structural, procedural and substantive flaws of the "peace process," as well as the requirements for a just peace in light of Israel‘s deliberate and persistent destruction of the prospects for peace and stability with its egregious violations of international law and conventions.  .

In addition to conducting an interview with an academic publication, Ashrawi met with faculty members and students extensively throughout her visit to Boston.
