NABLUS, October 19, 2026 (WAFA) — For the third consecutive day, colonists have continued to cut off the electricity supply to the home of lawyer Montaser Hamayel, located on Jabal al-Arma in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.
Mohammed Hamayel, an activist involved in the resistance against the separation wall and settlements in Beita, stated that colonists are persisting in cutting off electricity to the home where Montaser Hamayel lives with his six family members. This is part of an effort to pressure the family; he noted that they are subjected to near-daily assaults, and that the colonists restrict their freedom of movement.
He added that, about a month ago, Hamayel’s wife gave birth inside an ambulance after colonists blocked the road, preventing her transport to the hospital.
For its part, the Bar Association warned of the gravity of the ongoing attacks against lawyer Hamayel and his family. It stated that cutting off electricity to the home for the third day in a row constitutes a violation of the sanctity of the household and poses a direct threat to the family’s safety and security—particularly given the presence of young children.
