Three olive harvesters sustain injuries due to colonist attack near Salfit

SALFIT, October 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Three olive harvesters on Monday evening sustained injuries due to an attack by Israeli colonists in the al-Minqa’ area, west of Farkha, southwest of Salfit, according to local sources.

They reported that colonists chased the farmers’ vehicle after the latter had finished picking olives and pelted it with stones, causing it to overturn and injuring the three farmers inside, including a woman.

The casualties were rushed to a hospital in Salfit.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
