BETHLEHEM, October 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Monday evening re-arrested a former prisoner from the city of Bethlehem, according to a security source.
He told WAFA’s correspondent that occupation forces showed up at the home of a former prisoner, 48, at the al-Maslakh area and rounded him up.
Meanwhile, the occupying forces briefly held a minor in the village of Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah.
Village Council Head Nazem Saleh told WAFA that occupation forces barged their way into the village and deployed across several areas before briefly detaining a child near the village entrance.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
