RAMALLAH, October 18, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces mistreated citizens this Sunday evening at the entrance to the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.

Amin Abu Alia, head of the Al-Mughayyir Village Council, told WAFA that occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the western entrance to the village. They mistreated citizens—including women and the elderly—and damaged their vehicles as they passed through the checkpoint. No direct physical injuries to the citizens were reported.

He noted that the occupation forces continue to obstruct the movement of residents at the village entrance. Earlier in the day, they had closed the entrance entirely, which disrupted school operations as teachers arriving from outside the village were unable to reach the schools.

It is worth noting that the western entrance to Al-Mughayyir is currently the only accessible entry point, as the occupation forces have kept the eastern entrance closed since 2023—a period during which attacks by the occupation and settlers against the village have intensified.
