NABLUS, October 16, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian olive pickers in the village of Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus, injuring three people, while colonists in the Salfit governorate attacked farmers harvesting olives west of Deir Ballut and seized a vehicle key, according to local sources.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society said its ambulance crews treated three Palestinians who sustained injuries and bruises after colonists assaulted them while they were harvesting olives in Asira al-Qibliya. The injured were transferred to hospital.
Meanwhile, colonists attacked farmers harvesting olives on agricultural land west of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit, and seized the key to one farmer’s vehicle, according to local sources.
Israeli occupation forces arrived at the scene following the attack, forced the farmers to evacuate the area and threatened to open fire if they returned.
Towns and villages across the occupied West Bank have continued to face colonist attacks targeting farmers, preventing them from reaching their agricultural land and harvesting olives, threatening the harvest season and their livelihoods.
